What makes a record
ready to be seen?
Collecting job listings was only the beginning. The platform needed to distinguish usable records from duplicates, incomplete entries and jobs that had gone stale.
I built ingestion, validation, quarantine and expiry into that path, alongside access control and a separate browser automation worker.

Bring records into one workflow.
Incoming listings enter a shared process before they can become search results.
Keep uncertainty visible.
Duplicate detection and quarantine give unsuitable records their own path. Collection alone does not make a record ready for search.
Give automation limits.
The application agent used an isolated browser worker. Protected fields were removed before handoff, with a manual path when automation stopped.
Design for what changes.
Expiry handling addressed stale records. Rack & Role was archived in August 2026; this account describes the built system, not a live service.
